Inspiration and Insight

It's not whether you win or lose, but what you learn along the way and your response to the outcome, that ultimately defines you.

When my voice teacher suggested I learn this as an audition piece, I thought she was insane.  I didn't believe I could learn it, but I did.  I didn't get the gig, but I learned so much along the way that it no longer mattered. Growth, evolution, and sharing lessons learned.  That's what it's all about.

Studio Production

This song was written my last winter in DC.

I swore I wouldn't spend another winter freezing my butt off, so I planted the seeds, watered the ones that sprouted, and here I am.  Little did I know then "Miami, Miami where the sun always shines" doesn't quite capture the reality, but you can't appreciate sunshine without a little rain!

Behind the Scenes

A classic remix created as a collaboration with the guitarist and producer of my second original band.  We were based in Dallas, TX.  The band was called Melt.

The images are a random collection from my beloved studio space in DC, early trips to South Beach before the move, and a few live shows with my DC based cover band.
